With 40 restaurants around the world, Jean-Georges Vongerichten is a frequent traveller. While he calls New York City home, the chef spends weeks on end in foreign countries from Mexico to Dubai and China, and the ongoing multi-continent tour is as much about work as it is about exploring different food scenes.
“Every city has some room for high-end fine dining, and when I travel I try to spread it out and walk the city and see what kind of good food is available,” explained Vongerichten, who is active on social media sharing the fun parts of his restaurants’ kitchens, as well as his eating trails in different cities.
