Recognised for its commitment to sourcing only the finest for its growing range of teas and tea products (it only sources the top five per cent of teas grown worldwide), luxury British tea brand Newby Teas recently launched its Classic Tea Bag Collection.
The range not only boasts a new design but two new additions to the green tea category—the Earl Green and Highland Green—bringing the total to 23 varieties across black, oolong and green teas, and tisanes (herbal teas), which are all available on its Singapore e-boutique.
One of the new teas offered is a refreshing blend of green tea leaves with a tinge of citrusy bergamot. The other is a more straightforward and lighter offering of green tea that was cultivated and hand-picked in the misty mountains of Southern India.
“At Newby, we are passionate about preserving the flavoured character of our teas,” shares Nirmal Sethia, founder of Newby, philanthropist and owner of the world’s largest private collection of tea accessories, the Chitra Collection. The new design is inspired by his family’s well-preserved collection of “priceless pashminas” amassed over two centuries.
Sourced at the height of their freshness, Newby’s range of teas also features classics such as Assam and Darjeeling, alongside a selection of specialty blends that include Black Tea & Thyme, Milk Oolong, Oriental Sencha and Rooibos Orange.
“With such an eclectic range, there is something for every discerning palate,” says Estella Lau, CEO of Newby Southeast Asia, who is confident local consumers will be pleased with the top-notch quality of the teas.
The freshness of the tea in each tea bag is preserved by aluminum foil laminates using the brand’s proprietary technology, which seals in the leaves’ aromas and character.
