The popular Beijing duck in wood-fired oven is truly outstanding. The chef serves it tableside and laboriously carves the meat; and as he does this, you can catch a whiff of the delicious scent that sets the tone for the wonderful dining experience. The meat is deliciously tender and packed with all the flavours, thanks to its long hours of preparation.
Another star is the stewed lobster with eggplant and minced chicken in Sichuan chilli sauce. Truly exquisite, the sweetness of the fresh lobster meat melds well with the eggplant and minced chicken with a bit of heat.
To complete the dinner, the server’s recommendation of Ming Jiang Sichuan pancakes with vanilla ice cream ends the experience on a high note. The delicious pancakes were made from scratch and cooked to a sunny golden brown.
